OUR STORY

The International Institute for Tax and Finance Ltd (I/I/T/F) has been operating since 2005 and has grown from a specialised provider of short courses to a global leader in comprehensive postgraduate tax law qualifications.

2005

The Start

The International Institute for Tax and Finance (I/I/T/F) is established. Its initial educational offerings are seminars and webinars.

2005

2008

Postgraduate Education

The I/I/T/F partnered with Thomas Jefferson School (TJSL) of Law in San Diego as its validation partner. This marked its entry into full postgraduate programmes, beginning with the Postgraduate Diploma in Tax Procedural Law.

2010

Transfer Princing

I/I/T/F developed the Postgraduate Diploma in Transfer Pricing, the first postgraduate qualification in transfer procing at the time.  The programme is validated by TJSL.

2012

Entry into South Africa

I/I/T/F expanded into jurisdiction-specific programmes by entering the South African market with the first online Higher Diploma in Taxation. It was the first time the ‘HDip’ was offered in South Africa by an international educational institution.

2013

International Tax

I/I/T/F expanded its global reach by launching the first online Postgraduate Diploma in International Taxation that is not tied to any single jurisdiction – a truly global PG-Dip in International Tax.

2014

InformaConnect

I/I/T/F signed a marketing agreement with InformaConnect Ltd to promote postgraduate programmes in taxation.

2015

10 Years of Academic Excellence

In 2015 we mark the 10th anniversary of I/I/T/F. This year, I/I/T/F delivers 6 postgraduate programmes validated by TJSL.

2017

Middlesex University, London

I/I/T/F  extended its partnership with InformaConnect and, in doing so, established a new programme validation arrangement with Middlesex University, London.

2020

Academy of Tax Law

I/I/T/F established a new division, the Academy of Tax Law (AoTL), as the focal point for all international taxation programmes and courses.

2022

MSc (Master) Programmes

AoTL extended its postgraduate programmes to deliver MSc (Master) programmes, also validated by Middlesex University, London.

2024

IFF – International Faculty of Finance

AoTL entered into a partnership with IFF to offer shorter Postgraduate Certificate courses, validated by Middlesex University, London.

20 Years of Academic Excellence

In 2025 we mark the 20th anniversary of I/I/T/F and AoTL. This year, AoTL delivers 13 postgraduate programmes validated by Middlesex University, along with 7 additional short courses.
